Tico Construction, Inc.

VEECO

Silicon Valley is known worldwide for its longstanding ability to harbor companies that both innovate and manufacture quality products. Veeco Instruments is no exception. TICO was able to partner with this publicly traded company, even through COVID-19, to create a space in which they would be able to continue their important work.

This project consisted of a 97,000 SF multi-stage total renovation and buildout of a laboratory office building in San Jose. Included in the scope was 38,000 SF for laboratory space and 22,000 SF for cleanroom space on the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor, 30,000 SF of office space was completed.

Beyond the interior, TICO updated the structural integrity of the building to withstand massive amounts of high-tech equipment placed on the roof, as well as a brand-new facility pad on the ground. This facility pad hosts air and vacuum systems, cooling towers, chilling tanks, nitrogen tanks, boilers, generators, AWNM systems, and many more.

TICO’s work with Veeco Instruments highlights their experience with technically delicate high-tech and cleanroom projects.
